We launched the annual giving campaign for the first time in 2013 and it has been a great success! With the support and generous contributions from volunteers, parents, teachers and community organizations, we are able to renovate the first floor last year and made it a much more inviting environment for education, culture activities and community events. This year, we have fully built the school’s internet infrastructure, enabled internet connection in all class rooms. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank you all for participating our annual giving program and your continuous support!

School enrollment reached 429 families and 715 students. With such high enrollment, we will need more resource to keep our school running and to continue to make infrastructure improvements. We plan to renovate the basement as soon as we are able and start to build a computer lab and multi-media classrooms next year. We are working with the art designers from Maryville University again to design the exterior of our building to give our school a new and exciting look.

As you all know, our school is operated by volunteers and tuition is kept relatively low. Tuition alone cannot support the school’s operation and future development. We must raise revenue through other channels and the participation of each family in our school is essential to the long term success of our school. Your giving will make it possible to enable the school to offer exceptional Chinese education and culture programs, support building renovation and classroom enhancements.

We sincerely ask families and friends, businesses, community organizations to make a contribution and help us achieve this year’s financial goal. Together, we can make the greatest Chinese education and culture center for our community.

Any contribution will make a difference. Donating is simple and tax deductible. You can come to school on weekends to make your pledge starting this weekend (11/18/2016). You can also donate with your credit card online at www.slmcs.org. If your company has matching program, we need your help to ensure the matching gift is donated to our school.
