漫长的暑假来了，相信学生们早就期盼已久。而对于家长们来说，如何让孩子愉 快而有意义的度过三个月的假期，则是一件伤脑筋的事。几位大家非常熟悉和尊敬的老师们和你们有共同的感受。他们决定利用现代中文学校的场地，开设一些暑期课程，共同丰富学生们的暑期生活。以下是一些课程的具体内容：
暑期少年跳舞班： 指导老师：黄愚平
黄愚平老师是中文社区久负盛名的舞蹈老师。她指导和创作的民族舞蹈欢快，轻巧，优美，雅致，充分体现了民族舞蹈的特点和精髓。
目的：丰富孩子们的暑期生活，提升孩子们的艺术气质，
对象： 11岁及以下的孩子，热爱舞蹈
人数：6-12 人
时间：7月10日 到8月7日, 每周日下午1：00 到2：30 (共4周)
地点：现代中文学校
学费：$70

暑期数学百题演练班：指导老师：郭振华

目的： 防止数学水平下滑，复习学过的知识，整重其是地， 一板一眼地做100 道题 （8周，每周13题）， 在享受夏日轻松快乐和丰富多彩的活动之余， 获得成就感， 不间断对知识的追求。
对象： 5 - 7 年级学生。
方式： 通过电子邮件每周发给习题13道，学生按要求的格式先拣容易的做。 其余部分向家长， 朋友， 以及老师求助。发给 题目的难度根据家长要求因人制宜。老师批改习作，无课堂讲授。结业时的5道考题从这100题中随机抽取， 家长监考， 教师评卷。
答疑时间：每星期二晚7：00-9：00
地点：现代中文学校

A HUNDRED MATH PROBLEM FOR THE SUMMER

OBJECTIVE: To review math knowledge and prevent sliding down of math proficiency, do 100 math problems during the summer (12 or 13 problems per week for 8 weeks).
Students 5th to 7th grades can be enrolled.
Students do not attend classes. They receive 13 problems via e-mail each week. They do the problems independently at first and then seek help from parents, friends, and the teacher. They receive the next batch of 13 problems after submitting their work. The teacher will grade their work. The problems will be selected to suit the individual student's needs.
For final exam, 5 problems will be drawn from the 100 at random.Parents will proctor the exam and the teacher will grade the papers.
