VOTE TO GROW ST. LOUIS and Vote for SLMCS
Dear Friends, Volunteers, Parents, and Students,
SLMCS has passed the first stage of Vote to Grow St. Louis, a competition sponsored by Monsanto that awards a non-profit organization that adds value to the community.
You are invited to www.stlgrown.com to vote for St. Louis Modern Chinese School (SLMCS) for the project ¡°Bridging Two Worlds - Teaching and promoting Chinese language, arts and culture to enhance and broaden inter-culture harmony in the community¡±.
You can vote 1 time per day from Jan. 9 through Jan. 29, so vote daily!
Our project entry is called Bridging Two Worlds. With the project, we can better connect the Chinese and American communities. With the project, we can reach our ¡°dream¡± sooner! With your help, we can have our community center to serve St. Louisians sooner.
SLMCS plays a large role in St. Louis. We have been a significant part of the 150th anniversary celebration of Washington University. We were also there when Maryville University celebrated Asian New Year! You can always see our performances and culture exhibits at Botanical Garden during the annual Chinese Culture Day, at International Festival each year, various celebrations at A-B Inbev, Boeing, Monsanto, the Organization of Chinese Americans, etc. We have consistently supported the St. Louis community. Now we need your help. Please support us by just clicking the link and voting for us each day.
Monsanto has a long history of providing generous support to the St. Louis region, donating approximately $9 million last year and more than $97 million since 2000.
Public voting will determine the top three winners of $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 grants from Monsanto. Please spread the word and vote for SLMCS¡¯s project ¡°Bridging Two Worlds¡± on www.stlgrown.com.
Thanks for your support.
Guodong Li
