Free health screenings & family health fair on Saturday, May 7
Immanuel Lutheran Church will host a free health fair event on Saturday, May 7. The program will include free health screenings, physician consultation, and a physician-led seminar on respiratory problems including asthma and COPD. We will also offer fun family-oriented activities related to smoking and smoking cessation. All interested community members are invited to attend.
Nurses and medical students from Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis University School of Medicine will conduct free health screenings. Screenings include: height and weight, blood pressure, pulmonary function, hepatitis B, lipid panel (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and glucose), and risk assessments of diabetes, cancer, heart disease, and stroke. Please call in advance to register for the lipid panel! (Contact number: 859-494-4946 or 248-229-7274) No appointments are necessary for any other health screenings.
There will be experienced physicians from Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Missouri Baptist Medical Center to help explain the results of your health screenings.
